CARE LEAVER EXPERIENCES IN THAILAND, TANZANIA AND SWEDEN

There is limited understanding about how residential care affects children and young people in low- and middleincome countries and how this form of care affects outcomes for them as they enter young adulthood. In this webinar, two new reports focused on the lived experiences of children in institutional care in Thailand and Tanzania are presented together with a new report on sexual abuse in Swedish institutions.
The reports were commissioned by World Childhood Foundation and Eriks development partner to provide additional insights as both Thailand and Tanzania seeks to move away from institutional care and Sweden attempts to reform remaining institutions.
