Welcome to a new forum on tech, AI and child safety
Childhood and Telia are bringing together tech developers, AI experts, child rights experts, researchers, representatives from the justice system and entrepreneurs for a shared conversation about one of the most important issues of our time:
How can we protect children from sexual abuse in a world where technology is rapidly changing both risks and opportunities?
In this initial meeting, we are inviting a carefully selected group of individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise to explore how technological development and AI can help strengthen child safety, both online and offline.
There are no easy answers. But we believe that the best questions – and the most promising ideas – emerge when the right people come together in the same room.
Tech Think Tank is exactly that: a closed forum for open dialogue, future-thinking and conversations that rarely fit within ordinary contexts. Our ambition is for the meetings to generate inspiration, new insights and the seeds of collaborations – and in the long term, concrete, joint efforts that strengthen the protection of children from sexual abuse and exploitation.
This initiative is made together with Telia, which was one of the founders of Childhood in 1999 and has since been an important partner in the work for child safety. With Tech Think Tank, we want to build on a long-term commitment in which child safety online has long been a central part of our shared work.
We hope that you will want to join us in laying the foundation for this forum.
